This Privacy Policy explains how information about you is collected, used and shared by Precision Image Analysis, Inc. (“PIA,” “we” or “us”) when you access and use our website, including (the “Site”), or when you otherwise communicate with us.


PIA provides post-processing services for diagnostic images (“Service”) to its enterprise business clients (“Clients”). Except where otherwise indicated, this Privacy Policy applies to information we collect about visitors of our Site only. The Service we provide to our Clients often involves the collection, processing, and use of our Clients’ patient information, but in all cases we collect, process and use such patient information solely on behalf of our Clients, and solely as directed in our agreements with such Clients. If you are a patient of one of our Clients, you should review the Client’s privacy policy, terms or other notices to learn how that Client collects, uses or shares information about you, including through the Client’s use of our Service.


We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will provide notice of such changes by revising the date at the top of this policy and, in some cases, we may provide additional notice (such as by adding a statement to our Site or by providing notice via email). International Privacy Policy

PIA has adhered to the U.S.-EU Safe Harbor Privacy Principles and the U.S.-Swiss Safe Harbor Privacy Principles developed by the US Department of Commerce (“Safe Harbor Principles”) regarding the collection, processing, sharing and retention of personal information about Site visitors located in the European Union and Switzerland. PIA has also adhered to these Safe Harbor Principles when it collects, processes, shares or retains personal information on behalf of its Clients (for example, when PIA’s Clients in the EU or Switzerland send their patients’ personal information to PIA for analysis or processing).

PIA’s Safe Harbor certifications can be found on the U.S. Department of Commerce’s website at PIA has elected to use the American Arbitration Association to resolve any escalated disputes from Site visitors, Clients or our Clients’ patients regarding our adherence to the Safe Harbor Principles where such disputes could not be resolved by first contacting us at

This is being replaced by the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework, whose philosophy, principles and policies PIA follows. In addition, PIA has begun the transition to comply with the new General Data Protection Regulation enacted by the EU, which becomes effective as of May 2018.

According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, “The EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework was designed by the U.S. Department of Commerce and European Commission to provide companies on both sides of the Atlantic with a mechanism to comply with EU data protection requirements when transferring personal data from the European Union to the United States in support of transatlantic commerce. The Privacy Shield Framework provides a set of robust and enforceable protections for the personal data of EU individuals.”  Pia has registered with the U.S. Department of Commerce in this program.
